Can I switch my solar system off?

Yes. Most systems have clearly labelled AC and DC isolators. Follow the shutdown procedure provided by your inverter manufacturer.

What should I do if there is a power cut?

Most standard solar systems automatically switch off during a power outage for safety reasons. Unless your system includes battery backup or emergency power functionality, your solar panels will not supply power during a blackout.
