The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers an attractive grant to help homeowners install Solar panels. You can receive up to €1,800 toward the cost of a rooftop Solar system.
The grant amount is based on the size of your Solar system, measured in kilowatt-peak, or kWp.
To qualify for the SEAI Solar grant, you must:

Approved Housing Bodies (AHB)
Dwelling built and occupied before 2021
Must have an MPRN.
Have never claimed a Solar grant on your MPRN

Follow these five simple stems to claim your solar grant.
Get one or more quotes from SEAI-registered installers. They will assess your roof, recommend a system size and costs, and estimate your potential savings.
Apply online through SEAI's portal. Do not begin installation until you receive your Letter of Offer. Grant approvals are valid for 8 months.
Once approved, your installer can begin the work. Keep all documentation including: Invoices, Photos, Test reports, Declarations of Compliance.
A registered SEAI BER assessor must rate your home after installation.
Once all required documents are submitted and approved, SEAI pays the grant directly into your bank account.

No. The SEAI grant only covers the solar PV system, but batteries can be added separately.

You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and
cleaning of the Solar system, and it is recommended to
have it serviced annually.
Retain all documents: contracts, certs, photos, invoices, warranties, datasheets & manuals which we will provide as part of the submission process for an SEAI inspection.
